👩🎨✨ Artist, colourist, printmaker... Catherine Blake wore many hats in her day, though the title most frequently attributed to her is ‘wife’. Her marriage to the radical poet, printmaker and artist William Blake is a big part of her story, but it’s not the full story! 🌈 She was an artist in her own right, and was central to her husband’s printmaking process, especially the mixing and applicati...

The portrait at 3:19 min 😂😂😂😂😂
Genial documento Artista❤
Very beautiful
When you chop a mortise, you use the chisel width that suits the tenon thickness you want , usually a third of the material thickness. No one would make it more difficult and inaccurate by using a small chisel.
Thank you! Xx
Thank you! I had a DNA match with a Saka leader and now Im learning more thanks to your research. 🎉
Nice
Someone who has obtained the catalog book could give a description of it. I want to order it but I don't know if it's worth it. International shipping is expensive. I already have Blake's books and I don't know if Present: Universe adds new or particular things. Any opinion I would greatly appreciate.
Bit of a van Gough thing going on with the scratching. Super interesting to watch
Wish I could see this fascinating exhibit.
The discipline to attain exceptional technical skill was once the barrier to becoming an artist and earning the right to have your thoughts heard. Marcelle does not have that, she is heard by dint of fitting squarely within the liberal feminist paradigm that dominates the art world.
Don't watch this as it may lead to thought crime and thinking about the country you live in. What a bunch idiots 😅😅😅
What a woke wetter you are
Awful. Absolute garbage.
Each to their own. I think her work is extremely powerful.
What language was used then and is currently offensive today????
Wonderful historic items.
So much wonderful Blake emerging -- the Getty show was superb and David Bindman (a personal friend) is one of the greatest pictorial Blake scholars alive today. My catalogue arrived today -- superb!
@johnwindle4152 Could you give me a description of the catalogue, I want to order it but I don't know if it's worth it (international shipping is expensive). I will be going to see this!
OHMYGOD I just LOVE Blake! Thank you for this!

Absolutely beautiful! Amazing! Receive a special greeting from Bogotá, Colombia.

Thank you very much for the wonderful exhibition and showing Kazakh treasures to the world!!! ❤️🇰🇿🙏🏼
Bravo!!!!🎉
Wonderful
I loved the pieces, I invite you to see my work on wood sculptures, and leave me a sincere review of my work. 🙏🏽👍🇨🇷🙌🙌
An enjoyable explication ,thanks
I so loved this video. Took me 30 mins because i wanted to pause and read everything! What a beautiful and fascinating culture. Very poignant the final shot of the lone weaving tablet as a symbol of all the incredible things about these people that we'll probably never know.
Les portrait du fayoum
ua-cam.com/video/M14I9aCc3eE/v-deo.htmlsi=t8ooxhkniSKHXlkq
she must have gotten her colors mixed up the skin colors of the portraits they are not black ... at least this is what social media keeps insisting is historically true .... hmm I am so confused
No, the fayum portraits were mostly of settler greeks in the fayum. The colors are right. You do know these are of Greek, Syrians etc. aristocrats in roman Egypt time right? Maybe not. You people can't discern much.
They look like the typical contemporary middle eastern individuals.
The acting was amazing and so touching it almost made me cry about all this situations and it also makes me think about how this thing can happen now in many countries and the fact that we also can, maybe not knowing it but, collaborate with this horrible thing Congratulations man
These are AWESOME! thank you for sharing this..
beautiful art work
Amazing Where we can find this pigment ?
Living in London, I dont know when I am due next to visit Cambridge so thanks for the highlights 😊.
So interesting! Thank you for this
Queer, gender, heteronormative. What is wrong with lesbian and gay. I don’t necessarily disagree with her analysis, but it could be in plain English. I have to be glad she did not claim any of them as trans.
Wow ! Very interesing video So glad I stumbled in to this . To me it seemed more like a tutorial. I love painting portrait on corrugated cardboard using acrylic paints. It has now become such a fetish and ritualistic hobby as well as a joyful process. Love it❤ Thank you so much Utube . This information is so priceless I will cherish ot like gold.( I always wanted to give encaustic painting a try)
The Anglo- saxon people came to Southern Europe after the fallen of the Roman empire in 1V after C !
It's by Sangallo.

Brilliantly voiced. This should be central to the History GCSE instead of a list of white English Kings and Queens
Egyptian not Greco or Roman kuku head
The Greco Romans who conquered Egypt during late antiquity had created this portrait on top of the mummy tradition though it was not a thing before
Thats was a magnificent demonstration! Is there a chance to see the whole process of painting that portrait?Like from beggining to end unedited, or anything that goes more into depth on the skin tones and the way they were applied?
I just love this! This is what makes classical civilization so lasting: there's always some new-old thing: technique, poetry, custom, or other unknown ideas or modes still being unearthed to the light of day. The "Propagandistic" notion that Latin and Greek are DEAD Utterly Tongues, and nothing more can be unveiled for either, or adjacent cultures: the Egyptian, the Persian, the Hindu SANSKRIT is TOTALLY ERRONEOUS! Of course, the overly COMPULSIVE Requirement that These two critically vital Poles of European Culture that every learned individual has to get into his brain lobes is naturally OBSOLETE as well. There will always be Students wanting to acquire both, and have FUN treating either as still living tongues; and what's wrong with that? In another conceptual sense they definitely are. Perhaps in the Future, there will be CYDONIAN to learn from the "TWIN PEAKS". Or Extraterrestrial forms of communication so hoary with age as to make Greek and Latin as young INFANTS who died before their full maturation of usage.
